Teen Mothers Graduate from Othakarhaka Foundation Sewing School

After six months of hard work and perseverance, finally eight Adolescent Girls and Young Women who were all divorced have graduated from our tailoring school.

The tailoring program was specially designed to support women that are vulnerable to Gender Based Violence due to economic dependence on husbands, in order for them to attain independence and escape the GBV trap which lies in remarrying for survival.

It was a beautiful send-off where everyone of the eight walked out with a sewing machine to help them establish themselves as business ladies in their communities.

Tailoring machines handed over to beneficiaries
