A donation of Nestle noodles, flakes and ready made porridge reaches home. The total volume of 2.7 tones of the mentioned food items was received by Othakarhaka foundation through Red Cross Society of Malawi.
This donation could not come at the right time than this, having so many community members who suffered from the effects of cyclone Freddy living helpless and without hope for next food to eat.
To date, 4000 households, majority of them being those people whose food crops were washed away by the floods during the cyclone Freddy a few months ago, have already received some portions of the food items this far.
“We are very thankful to Othakarhaka foundation for this timely support of this delicious food donation”, one woman named Elizabeth Mkati said.
