We are so much excited to host a team of three medical doctors at Othakarhaka Foundation Community clinic from USA; Dr Janet Cunningham, Dr Louis & Dr Stephanie.
The three doctors arrived in the country few days ago to do some humanitarian medical initiatives at Queen Elizabeth Central hospital and Adventist hospital in Blantyre and in Malamulo in Thyolo district.
While appreciating our projects at the foundation, they are already involved in helping members of the community with different health problems through our clinic for free.
The team was so much excited to see community members gathering in their large numbers at our facility for the free medical consultation.
It was such beautiful and interesting moment to see some of our community members getting their blood pressure checked for the first time in their lives.
The doctors also accompanied our palliative care team for a home visit of patients under Othakarhaka foundation palliative care program where we reviewed their conditions and provided them with their necessary medications and other social supports such as food stuff among others.
