"Passing on the kindness is transforming communities in Malawi."

The glamorous finale: A stylish close to the 2023 Girls’ Art Empowerment Camp

An intensive one week camping of 106 participating girls, drawn from different secondary schools and tertiary institutions, schooling under the Othakarhaka foundation sponsorship participated in the camp.

There were a number of arts skills which the girls were drilled in during the week of the camp by the 8 volunteer teachers from United States. Among them includes dancing, poetry, music, drawing, assertiveness etc.

This year’s camp exceeded our expectations by the fact that the girls showcased their up to pur talent and skills learnt during the camp session.

Othakarhaka foundation appreciates Mulanje District Social Welfare Officer, Martha Mkisi for gracing the occasion as key invited guest at the camp’s graduation.

Giboh Pearson, the local musician of the moment in Malawi, the hit maker of “Izathela ma penalty” and ‘kunanala” hits leaved up to the hype of entertaining the crowd that gathered at Nkanda primary school ground.
